Starting with Sobertember I have been saving money in order to create passive income to allow me to continue to drink on stream. 

My Plan is to provide monthly updates on our funds and how they are being used.

Luckily for the first month I had a bottle of "Free After Rebate" vodka laying around. So far we have not spent any of the money yet.

Essentially it works like this... the "Pylons" are money that I personally set aside into a bank account and the interest that is earned generates monthly income. For now I have only One Pylon built and it provides $0.37 a month... not going to get much booze on that... however, we just started!

Then all the "ad revenue" from the month is stored as "Vespene Gas." This money doesn't generate any cash flow (it IS cash flow). It can be converted into my Pylons if needed.

Long term, if we ever generate more than is needed for the booze consumed on stream we can look into fun side projects.

So for the Month of October we have $13.09 available to spend on booze consumed on stream.

In perhaps one of the best moves ever... Jagex has more or less officially said that the changes to Shooting Stars are here to stay!

This is great news because it finally gives someone living the #DadLife (like me) the chance to actually level Mining.

I wish they would find more ways to balance the three forces: Time / Money / Effort in their other skills.

This is actually a lesson that would be great for the Genfanad team to learn... your target audience is essentially those that grew up playing Runescape. We are old now and have kids/jobs/etc and dont have time to be fully interactive at all times. We also can be bothere to play a game where it would take litreral YEARS of game time to level skills to max. Upon doing some calculations and realizing how long it would take there are many that just give up because they realize they don't have the time to commit.

I just did my first attempt at 3d Printing some Lego blocks for my son. Overall they worked pretty well, the issue is that the top isnt quite large enough to fit with "Real Legos" but the bottom is a perfect, yet tight, fit. My solution is to increase the size of the blocks by 0.1% to see if that works.

Update (9/17/23): +0.1% increase is still too small. Let's try +0.25%

The servers have been shut down to Genfanad as we await the Beta for the new TCG version of combat. Best guess is that the Beta should be up and running within a month... hopefully by the end of this month!

The Beta should be open to Kickstarter Backers and Patreon subscribers.

Since I was in the Kickstarter I should also have access to the Beta and will be streaming that for you on Twitch as soon as it is live.
